TUT Mutator Information

Alert Delayer v3 (author - Firetiger)

Alert Delayer v3 is a mutator that rewards the "thieves" team for "ghosting" a level (when a player tries not to be seen or heard). Once the thieves team completes all of their objectives, they receive the usual notification. Based on how well they (as a team) avoided detection during the match, there would then be a delay before the "guards" team receives the same objective completed notification. In theory, this allows the thieves to have an advantage in heading to the exit and therefore successfully winning the map. Below are further explanations from the TUT community.

"When a team accomplishes an objective, it is first broadcast to that team only. After a delay, the other team learns that it has been accomplished." - Zebos

"Ghost against a full guard team, steal 'it', get away, message finally alerts guards who were off flare scanning remote corners of the map and not watching the objective. This'll keep a few guards at the objective, watching it and not just waiting for a sound being broadcast so they can loose their compliment of fire bolts. Communication would also be encouraged with this little addition. Or you could DM 'em and the message would be instantaneous as per normal." - Sisu

"The maximum time it delays for is only 10 seconds by default. And every single time a thief KOs a guard, human or ai, it reduces the delay by 2 seconds. Three if it was a kill." - Firetiger

Referring to version 3:
"-The thieves no longer emit the objective noise (funny if you imagine the thieves running around making the noise with their lips)
-The noise should never play more than once, and if the INI is set so the thieves do not hear the delayed alert, they'll still see the chatbox message.
-The check boxes in the objective list now correspond to when the team heard the alert (objective won't be checked for guards until they hear the delayed alert)." - Firetiger

Map Vote v3.4 (author - unknown)

Map Vote v3.4 is a mutator that allows players (without the need for an admin) to control what maps are played on a server through voting. They are able to call up a vote to switch the map at any time, even during a match.

Depending on server setup, Map Vote may or may not allow maps to be repeated until a set number of different maps are first played (to avoid repeating the same map over and over).

Torch Snuffer (author - unknown)

As the name suggests, the Torch Snuffer mutator allows a server admin to adjust when torches will randomly be extinguished. The purpose is to add some realism to the game in which torches do not burn indefinitely without requiring to be relit with a flare.
